Very nice image, quite sharp, nice colors and contrast, big improvment compared to the singaporian VCD. The compression is not perfect though, but that's barely noticable.

sound

Good 5.1 mix, nothing extraordinary of course, but the 6 speakers are used quite nicely. Voices may sound a bit low, but the dynamism is satisfying.

subtitles

Nice job for the subtitles also, with both english and french.

Decent menus, but nothing really special: no animation, no sound.

quality/price ration

Technically, this is the best way to discover the movie. Sadly, the ending is totally changed compared to the VCD, and it's difficult to find the conclusion of this DVD better than the other one. In fact, we have now a conclusion not really matching with the odd atmosphere of the movie. So it's maybe better to wait for HK DVD, if there is one one day... More generally, the movie seems to be cut from around 14 minutes. And it should be noticed also that the colors have been changed... The green teint used at night is replaced here by a blue one. Lovely... A detailed report of the cuts will be made asap, with a complete description of the original ending. 1,5 point is left for the technical qualities.
