DVD Duel to the Death
Deltamac

image

That's easy, the image is exactly the same as with the Megastar DVD. Same qualities, same lacks: greenish blacks, sharp during some scenes, blurred during some others, quite clean if you consider its old age, colors vivid. Clearly not a masterpiece, but still enough to enjoy the movie.

sound

This time, it's back to the old mono sound, on the contrary of the Megastar fake 5.1. Fake coz it was the same sound on the 5 speakers, which is more annoying than anything else. This time no need to change your surround mode on your AV amplifier. Except that, the sound is as average as on the Megastar, lacking mainly basses.

subtitles

No worries about those subtitles, it's even slightly better than the Megastar ones, as we get rid of the dots at the end of each sub. Of course, there are still english mistakes, but the speed and screen duration are correct.

special features

The trailer. And that's it.

menus

Average menus this time, Deltamac can do and has done much better. The DVD cover is not great either.

quality/price ration

Compared to the Megastar edition, we lose some not-so-useful special features, we save some bucks, and we get rid of the strange 5.1 track. Worth buying while waiting for a collector edition somewhere.
